At the Jesuit Center, we deliberately keep our programs affordable. We offer scholarships to retreatants who cannot afford even our modest fees, and we welcome economically-challenged folks from the inner city. We hope you join us for this very important fundraising event!

A new addition to the Jesuit Center in the summer 2019 is our Butterfly Garden. Located inside our Grove (in the corner near Hain’s cemetery), the garden features a variety of butterfly-attracting annuals and perennials such as milkweed and lantana. The idea for the garden came from Donna Rees, an avid butterfly fan, and her husband Pat. Together, the couple, along with some help from the Jesuit Center Maintenance Staff led by Rafael Gomez, planned out the area, planted the flowers, and mulched the entire garden. The garden provides an environment to encourage beneficial insects, as well as another food supply for birds. Plan a visit to the Center to see how many different species of butterflies you can spot when the warm weather comes!
