Dear Friends,

The Jesuit Community and the staff of the Jesuit Center for Spiritual Growth are committed to the safety and well-being of our retreatants and guests during the present health crisis.  The Jesuit Center for Spiritual Growth continues to be closed to all retreatants and guests at least through May 3, 2020. Masses at the Jesuit Center are also closed to the public.  Should the situation improve, and we are able to re-open, we will notify the public here and on Facebook.

During the COVID-19 crisis, we are offering “As Certain as the Dawn,” a weekly series of reflections by our staff and resident Jesuits, accompanied by pictures of the Jesuit Center’s grounds as we move into springtime.  May these reflections and photos bring some hope and consolation to your spirit through these challenging days.

For those who wish to attend Sunday Mass via electronic means, we recommend “The Sunday Mass” from the Passionists of the St. Paul of the Cross Province: https://thesundaymass.org/ or the “Radio Mass of Baltimore” from St. Ignatius Loyola Church: www.radiomass.org.

Retreatants and groups that have made reservations for a stay or program at the Center through May 3 are invited to re-schedule by contacting our registrar, Melinda Leonowitz, at mleonowitz@jesuitcenter.org or 610-670-3642; her assistant, Andrew Dotter, at adotter@jesuitcenter.org or 610-670-3655; or our coordinator of hosted groups, Alisha Forcinio, at aforcinio@jesuitcenter.org or 610-670-3668.  We will transfer your reservation and deposit to another date, convert it into a donation, or refund it.

All of those who have fallen ill with or passed away from COVID-19 are in our prayers, as are those caring for the sick and/or working tirelessly to contain and cure this disease.  St. Aloysius Gonzaga—pray for us.

Yours in Christ,

Br. Christopher Derby, SJ
